About Simon
Simon graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology. He enjoys interacting and supporting people from a range of cultures, settings and language backgrounds. He finds working together with his clients and their families incredible rewarding in achieving their communication goals for learning and participation. As a Speech Pathologist, Simon has pediatric experiences in developmental language delay, play and social skills delay as well as working and supporting adults with disabilities in the community and employment sector. Simon likes to travel, enjoys a good movie and catching up with friends. Simon speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
What Simon Does?
Simon is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and has interests in supporting children in the areas of language, neurodiversity, play, developmental delay, literacy and pragmatic skills.
Simon also finds it rewarding in working and supporting adult clients in the areas of language, social skills, self-care skills and executive functioning e.g. attention and organisational skills, planning and organizing. Simon is able to support adult clients to transfer the skills that they are learning and developing in environments that they are part of e.g. in the community, workplace and shopping centers to ensure that they feel the joy and have the sense of achievment and independence in the tasks that they are doing and the decisions that they want to make.
Simon enjoys working together with parents, teachers and carers in helping clients (children and adults) to discover their confidence through communicating effectively in their natural environments.
Simon has completed training in Hanen It Takes Two To Talk, Learning Language and Loving It, Keyword Sign and Little Learners Love Literacy.
Simon is available for mobile individual sessions from Monday till Friday. Simon can visit client's home, kindergarten, school or place of preference to conduct therapy session. Simon is also available for telehealth. Simon is also able to assist families to access the NDIS.
